Suck It And See - A Six Meals A Day Diet Example
This is probably not going to be the most wordy article on this site but I think it’s important you see a very real example of a day’s food on the six meals a day diet.
So below you’ll find an example of just what I ate yesterday and the day before so you can get an appreciation of what to expect.
Yesterday’s Six Meals A Day Diet Menu -
Meal 1 - 7am -
Bowl of bran flakes with skim milk and fruit
Meal 2 - 10.30am -
Meal replacement drink
Meal 3 - 1pm -
Egg mayonnaise sandwich
Meal 4 - 4pm -
Meal replacement drink
Meal 5 - 7pm -
Grilled chicken and mixed vegetables with sweet chilli sauce in whole meal pittas
Meal 6 - 9.30pm -
Grilled trout steak with noodles, vegetables and soy sauce
Day Before’s Six Meals A Day Diet Menu -
Meal 1 - 7am -
Bowl of bran flakes with skim milk and fruit
Meal 2 - 10.30am -
Fat-free yogurt and protein shake
Meal 3 - 1pm -
Ham and salad sandwich with fat-free mayonnaise
Meal 4 - 4pm -
Meal replacement drink
Meal 5 - 7pm -
Scrambled egg whites with brown sauce on whole meal toast
Meal 6 - 9.30pm -
Smoked salmon and dill ravioli
Now, these two examples of the six meals a day diet may not look like the most exciting of days food-wise but you’ll be surprised how quickly you get used to these foods and as you start to feel healthier and as you start to see the pounds drop off the idea of eating junk food will rapidly lose it’s attraction.
I’m afraid to say I now look with disgust or sympathy (depending on the day I’m having!) when someone is snacking on a Big Mac. Yeah, they taste OK. But think of the grease, the calories, the rubbish that goes into it. And what they’re doing to their bodies.
Not pleasant.
The other thing to mention is that the times I have put down in the above example are approximate times.
These are *my* times that fit in well with my life and suit me. They’re also approximate and may be earlier or later depending on what I’m doing.
The most important factors are to make sure you eat six meals a day and that they’re roughly evenly spaced out throughout the day for maximum benefit.
